Not only was this past Sunday Mother’s Day it was also the annual rock and roll festival put on by a local radio station called LAZERfest (named after the station itself). My wife was nice enough to agree to me going for the first time (she was kind of excited to spend Mother’s Day with just the girls). A neighbor and I headed to the concert in the afternoon and had a blast. The first band took the stage around 1:30 pm and the final band, Shinedown, started at 10:00 pm. We got there and settled in right as Adelitas Way was introduced (at 2:20), which was exactly how we planned it. We ended up leaving just after 7:30 as we had seen the bands we wanted to see.
